MONDAY LECTURES
Monday, 8 June 2026
5:00-6:40 pm Paris time
Zoom lecture

Tucked up on the top floor of the Sully wing of the Louvre and at the end of the mile-long galleries of French painting, are the smaller French paintings of the early 19th century, much less known (and visited) than the celebrated masterpieces in the great galleries of the Denon wing next to the Mona Lisa.
Yet, key masterpieces of the Neoclassical and Romantic age like Ingres’ Valpinçon Bather & Turkish Bath, Delacroix’s Self-Portrait, Géricault’s studies for the Raft of the Medusa, and the greatest collection of Corot landscapes in France as well Millet’s early peasant paintings are to be found here. Join our virtual tour which will also cover fine works by Chassériau, Flandrin, Biard, Degas and more.
You will receive the Zoom link as soon as we are notified of your purchase.
