The famous rose garden at Bagatelle.

What better way to enjoy the month of June in Paris than with a visit to the beautiful Bagatelle botanical garden on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne, where over 10,000 roses await!

Among the famous peacocks and rolling lawns we will visit a variety of garden styles: French, Anglo-Chinese & English with interesting plant collections and seasonal flower displays throughout the garden.

Bagatelle was first created in the 18th century, then considerably enlarged in the 19th century before becoming one of the 4 botanical gardens managed by the City of Paris with its world-renowned rose collections. As a member of the Permanent Jury of the annual Bagatelle New Rose Compétition, l will also explain the process of how roses are evaluated, what judges are looking for, some of the previous winners and detailed pruning techniques. We will also see the restored exteriors of the Chateau commissioned by the Comte d’Artois in 1777 and look forward to the museum’s opening later this year.

You will receive the Zoom link as soon as we are notified of your purchase.
